Quick Troubleshooting

01. Extension not showing?

Click the puzzle piece (🧩) in Chrome's toolbar and pin YouTube Playlist Progress. If it's still missing, try re-enabling it in chrome://extensions.

02. Stats not updating?

This usually happens if the page connection is lost. Simply refresh the YouTube page. Test with our Official Demo Playlist to verify.

03. Sync issues?

Go to Extension Settings > Danger Zone > Clear All Data to perform a hard reset if your data seems corrupted. Warning: this deletes all progress.

04. Video Access

The extension only reads data from the active tab. It does not track your history outside of the playlists you actively view.

How does tracking work? +
The extension automatically detects when you finish a video on a playlist page. It stores this progress locally so you can resume anytime, even if YouTube forgets.
Does it work on private playlists? +
Yes! Since the extension runs locally on your browser, it can read any playlist you have access to, including private and unlisted ones.
Where is my data stored? +
100% on your device. We use Chrome's local storage. We do not track you or send data to any server.
Can I sync across devices? +
Currently, data is stored per-device. Account syncing via Chrome Sync is a planned feature coming in version 2.0.
